I am so very pleased with the portrait that it's hard to describe! You have brought to life the photos and captured what I see in each of the dogs. It is so good that it brought a big lump to my throat.

Shirely deLang was born in rural Ontario and moved to Toronto at an early age where she now resides combining home and studio. Shirley began her career as a self-taught artist in the 60's and later studied with the late Geoffrey Sykes and Deece Doran. Shirley is proficient in several mediums including cast paper, sculpture, oil, pastel, acrylic and watercolour. She has gained recent notoriety for her pastel portraits of animals and people.
Although Shirley has studied with well known artists, most of the learning and discovery has been in her own studio. In previous years she has enjoyed sharing her talent and knowledge
teaching adults and children in a studio atmosphere.
She has exhibited in many group and solo shows in Ontario extending back to the mid 70's. Her art is in private and corporate collections throughout Canada, the United States and South America.
